Location: Toronto ON (with potential for international travel to other office locations)

Position Overview
We are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer Lead/Manager to lead our Global Design group and drive world-class design practice across strategic initiatives. This is a hands-on management role (50/50 leadership and design execution) where you'll manage a design squad while actively contributing to complex, high-impact design projects.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage a design squad/pod to achieve business objectives within specific
- domains/program journeys
- Orchestrate design activities and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work aligned with design system standards
- Establish regular check-ins to track progress toward business objectives
- Provide coaching, guidance, and mentoring to drive excellence in performance and behavior
- Support team growth and development through constructive feedback, capability building, and talent recruitment/retention
Design Execution
- Lead the design process from ideation through execution, ensuring alignment with product goals
- Drive AI integration in design by actively exploring and implementing AI tools to enhance team efficiency
- Apply design systems to drive coherent and scalable design practices across initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Business, and other stakeholders to solve user-centered problems
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent demonstrated education and experience
- 7+ years of professional design experience with a supporting portfolio
- Proven experience in mentoring and managing design resources, and developing design practice
Technical Skills
- UX Fundamentals: Research, wireframing, mockups, prototyping, and usability testing
- Design Tools: Proficiency with Figma, InVision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
- Design Systems: Demonstrated experience using design systems to drive coherent design practices
- Portfolio: Ability to present previous work showcasing outputs, iteration, and design thinking
