Hays has partnered with a large financial institution in Sydney who are working on a greenfield trading platform. They are looking for a staff engineer to help lead the development of the product.

Your new role
As a Full Stack Staff Software Engineer, you will work on a greenfield project to deliver a new pricing and trading engine for their trading desk. You will be hands-on with coding, shaping the technical evolution of the system, and contributing to end-to-end design, implementation, and delivery. You will also mentor junior engineers and participate in engineering guilds.

Technical Skills

Experience or exposure to the following will set you up for success:

Front-end: Angular, React, RxJS, Typescript, Node.js
Backend: Core Java, SpringBoot
Asynchronous microservices architecture and API design patterns
Apache Kafka, Redis (or equivalent)
Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Front-office trading experience (highly desirable)
CI/CD configuration (TeamCity, Octopus) in Cloud environments
Maven (desirable)
