The business of hauling waste and recycling generates $90B in annual revenue in the US and Canada. Roughly 1.5% of that revenue is currently spent on software today with that figure estimated to rise to 2% this decade. Add in Europe ($130B annual revenue) and that’s an estimated $3.2B being spent on legacy software that has not been updated or was not designed for the specific needs of this overlooked industry.
In the US there are 180k private hauler vehicles (5,000 – 8,000 companies) and 40k public hauling vehicles (municipalities).
Hauler Hero is delivering the most customer-centric, intuitive, tech-forward operating system to raise productivity so hauling companies and employees can achieve their highest potential. Our business management platform includes dispatch, routing, CRM, billing, accounting, sales and payment processing, with more to come in time.
In time our business will expand to also service landfill operators, transfer stations & transfer hauling, along with servicing adjacent markets e.g. snowplow, street sweeping, cement trucks, tow-truck utilities (~$2B) and additional overseas markets (~$2B).
170+ customers have signed with us, and 150+ are live and operational. They are excited about the massive improvements we’re unlocking in their operations, and so are we.
The CEO was the top sales executive and strategic director at ServiceTitan, which IPO’d in 2024. Other team leaders come from the waste & recycling industry, from ServiceTitan, and from other world class software businesses.

Role Summary:
As Director of Marketing, you’ll be the revenue-obsessed storyteller who blends brand with AI-driven, data-backed execution. You will own and scale the entire marketing engine—from storytelling to pipeline. You will be the first senior hire dedicated to marketing, reporting to the CEO, and partnering tightly with Sales, Product, and Customer Success.
Key Outcomes (12-18 months)
Demand Generation – Consistently deliver qualified pipeline to hit YoY ARR targets
Category Leadership – Establish Hauler Hero as the de-facto thought leader in hauling technology.
Enablement Excellence – Equip GTM teams with content, collateral, and competitive intel that shortens sales cycles and lifts win rates.
Martech & AI Fluency: owning stack consolidation and piloting predictive/Gen-AI campaigns that cut CAC.
Scalable Foundation – Build repeatable processes, metrics, and a small but mighty team to sustain hyper-growth.
What You’ll Do
Own the playbook: Create and execute the integrated marketing plan (content, digital, events, ABM, PR, product marketing).
Lead & mentor: Manage and grow an in-house marketer plus external partners; foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
Tell the story: Translate product capabilities into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with operators, owners, and municipal buyers.
Run programs end-to-end: Budgeting, campaign ops, Martech stack, KPIs (MQL → SQL → Closed-Won).
Light the booth on fire: Plan and maximize ROI on trade shows and industry conferences.
Be the voice of the customer: Gather market insights to influence roadmap and positioning.
What you Bring:
5–8 yrs marketing at a B2B SaaS company, including 2+ yrs in a manager/lead role.
Proven track record standing up demand-gen programs that drive >$5 M ARR.
Hands-on content creator (blog, white papers, video, social) with an eye for quality design and brand consistency.
Comfort using Gen-AI/predictive tools for segmentation, copy, and ops.
Comfortable with marketing automation (HubSpot, Marketo, etc.) and data-driven decision-making.
Experience selling into industrial, logistics, construction, or other “fleet-based” and/or financial and accounting systems of record vertical SaaS is a major plus.
Experience generating demand for incremental products and services to increase share of wallet and ACV for existing customer base.
