Hashtag Monday was originally established in January 2020 in our founder's spare room in Manchester and began as an email marketing agency serving e-commerce brands from all over the world.
After years in the game, and realizing that there were better and more impactful ways to serve our clients, we realized that being just another email marketing agency wasn’t cutting it anymore.
After getting feedback from prospective clients and existing clients, it was very clear that we needed to focus on full customer retention marketing for e-commerce brands.
Now, the focus for Hashtag Monday isn’t only on email marketing. Even though we’re a well-recognized Klaviyo Platinum agency, our focus has shifted to building tailored customer retention systems that generate profitable revenue for the amazing DTC brands that we work with.

This role is for a specific type of individual; one who is exceptionally growth-oriented and envisions themselves as an outsourced CMO to the DTC brands that we work with, offering more than just basic copy-and-paste strategies to our clients.
This role spans beyond just foundational Retention channels like email and SMS Marketing, ideally you are knowledgeable and understand growth metrics such as CAC: LTV ratio and how to improve such metrics for clients.
You'll LOVE analysing data and really geek out at the prospect of putting forward strategies to improve a client's Retention Marketing strategy and performance, and you’re obsessed with getting results.

What are we looking for?
At least 5+ years of email marketing experience, either in-house at a brand or at an agency, or you’ve successfully scaled your own DTC brand
Someone who has a deep understanding of the digital marketing/retention marketing landscape in the DTC world. This isn’t your first job in digital marketing. You’ve had experience in-house or at an agency, or maybe built your own DTC brand. This role will give you the chance to dig deep into all facets of Retention marketing, bring new ideas to the table, and execute them from start to finish.
You’ll be working closely with the founder to come up with new ideas for how we can improve our client's result where you’re able to execute on those ideas with little hand-holding or follow up.
Building relationships with key industry partners to increase our exposure as an authority within the space, and also to bring the latest findings to our clients
You’re a numbers kinda guy or gal – data, spreadsheets, and analysis are your BFFs
Comprehensive knowledge of Klaviyo and Shopify, with at least 3 years of experience (other CRM platforms and e-commerce platforms are ok too)
Someone who geeks out on things like analysing cohorts for clients, and has the ability to analyse complex data insights and make strategic decisions
You are obsessed with keeping up with trends in the e-commerce space
High level understanding of retention marketing as a whole e.g. loyalty, subscription, reducing CAC etc
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Someone who can pull detailed & comprehensive insights reports, but can also give feedback on how to drive even better results.
