About HASH
We build browser-based tools that help people simulate, understand, and optimize real-world systems and processes using AI. Our existing open-source platform for data and modeling helps individuals and organizations make the right decisions – and you’ll help lead the development of a brand new platform for the safe deployment of advanced new AIs.

Responsibilities
As our Technical Product Manager for Safeguarded AI you'll be working on Novel AI & World Modeling Interfaces, and will own the end-to-end product lifecycle of the user-facing “Safeguarded AI” web application, which allows users to model real-world processes using a variety of approaches, define optimization goals and safety requirements, and ultimately train an AI model to safely control them. You’ll drive strategy, craft roadmaps, and orchestrate the work of senior frontend engineers, UI designers, and UX researchers — while also collaborating with external AI research teams and mathematicians to fold their breakthroughs into a cohesive user experience, as part of an Advanced Research + Invention Agency funded project.
In this role, you'll:
- Develop a roadmap for AI-assisted world modeling, simulation, and collaboration tools — grounded in user insight and research, accounting for complex interdependencies with external workstreams and forecast advances in AI
- Own project management & timeline, responsible for the ultimate successful delivery of the project – in conjunction with your peers at external partner labs, including the PM for the backend, and the leads on the underpinning mathematical theory and Machine Learning research
- Translate internal and external research into product specs: distil technical mathematical theory into clear user value and product requirements
- Prioritise ruthlessly across discovery, design, and delivery; maintain a transparent backlog and ship iteratively
- Facilitate cross-functional rituals — stand-ups, design crits, roadmap reviews — keeping engineering and design in tight sync
- Own success metrics: define KPIs, partner with data and UX research to measure impact, pivot when needed
- Represent the product externally: demo prototypes to partner labs, work alongside the Safeguarded AI Programme Office, gather feedback at workshops and conferences, and nurture joint research initiatives
- Champion accessibility and ethical AI across every feature we ship

Requirements
Must-have experience:
- Significant experience in technical product management or adjacent roles (engineering, applied research) for complex B2B or platform products
- Solid understanding of modern web tech stacks
- Proven track record shipping zero-to-one or highly-technical products on time and within scope
- Ability to pick up technical language in a new domain and engage confidently and productively with experts
- Excellent communication—written, verbal, and visual; you bridge the language gap between researchers, engineers, and executives
- Comfortable with async collaboration and documentation-heavy cultures
Nice-to-have experience:
- Hands-on experience in HCI, data visualization, or simulation tools
- Demonstrable interest in novel AI UX design, and human-computer interaction
- Mathematical background, aptitude or interest (many product requirements will be translated from mathematical theory)
- Familiarity with the machine-learning research pipeline; you can read an arXiv paper and spot product potential
- Active network in academic AI labs or open-source ML communities
