Are you an experienced Clojure engineer looking to be part of an exciting AI-driven startup? They’re on a mission to build a catalogue of AI agents that integrate with third-party services. The main goal; help people. Both founders have copious experience, building products people love, and scaling start-ups successfully.
As our Founding Product Engineer, you’ll work closely with the founders to solve real-world customer problems and shape the future of AI automation.
What You’ll Be Doing (your day-to-day)
- Building backend systems in Clojure, integrating with APIs and LLMs.
- Delivering solutions via Hiccup, htmx, and Tailwind.
- Ensuring code quality, security, and testing in a fast-moving startup.
What They’re Looking For
- Experience working in an early-stage start-up with an interest in AI automation being a bonus
- Someone with an understanding of security principles and sensitive data handling.
The technical skills required for the role
- Strong commercial experience working with Clojure in production alongside proficiency in Clojure data structures and features.
- Knowledge of the following technologies: Docker, Pedestal, PostgreSQL, and Clojure.spec
- Exposure to Automated testing (clojure.test, matcher-combinators).
Skills that may make you stand out (but not required)
- Knowledge of htmx, TailwindCSS, and TailwindUI.
- An understanding of generative testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
- Previous experience working on AI-based integrations, multi-tenancy, and JVM optimization.
- AWS, Terraform, and encryption technologies.
