We are working with a health-tech company at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and data analytics. Focused on radiology, their mission is to reduce misdiagnoses, improving patient outcomes and cost efficiency. They partner with self-insured employers and insurance companies, impacting millions of patients. With Series C funding, they continue to invest in technology and data science.

The Role:

As a Staff Data Scientist, you will analyze healthcare claims data, develop causal inference models, and support clinical outcomes improvements. You will lead statistical modeling efforts, refine data pipelines, and provide technical leadership while collaborating with internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze healthcare claims data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
• Apply statistical methods like difference-in-differences modeling to assess interventions.
• Develop causal inference models to quantify cost savings and clinical improvements.
• Refine statistical models and ensure methodological rigor.
• Collaborate with teams and participate in client discussions.
• Own and scale the codebase, improving efficiency.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to evaluate cost-of-care scenarios.
• Contribute to thought leadership, including publishing whitepapers.

Requirements:

• Expertise in statistical modeling and causal inference (e.g., difference-in-differences, GLM, mixed models).
• Experience analyzing healthcare claims data for clinical and cost insights.
• Proficiency in R (preferred), with familiarity in SQL and Python.
• Experience developing production-ready models and scalable codebases.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage shifting priorities.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Background in health economics or epidemiology is a plus.

The Benefits:

Base salary of $175,000 - $200,000 plus equity, 401(k), health, dental, and vision benefits.
