Venture backed by a number of the most prominent VC’s in the space, they have raised over $100m to date and Revenue has grown from $150m to $250m in 12 months!

The Role:

Reporting into the CFO, they are looking for a Head of Data Science to develop or a world class Data function to partner with Marketing leaders. Delivering improved insight and decision making with key insights around CAC, LTV, Churn, Conversion we are currently seeking an accomplished Data Scientist at the 'Head of' level who will spearhead a growing Data team. Responsible for transforming data into insights and supporting tactical and strategic decision making – this is a pivotal role that will have visibility across the entire organization.

As a member of a rapid growth start up, the right candidate will embrace the fast-paced nature of things and won’t be afraid to wear multiple different hats.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret commercial data to uncover trends and patterns, providing actionable insights.
• Establish, recruit and build the Data Science and Data Analytics function
• Establish key performance indicators for customer acquisition and retention by utilizing customer cohort data to assess metrics such as lifetime value (LTV), customer acquisition cost (CAC), and retention rates across various sales channels.
• Build a Marketing Mix Model (MMM) to help the marketing function understand the levers for growth
• Work closely with the CFO to build revenue and demand forecasting models
• Work with sales and marketing teams to align business goals, create data frameworks, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Present data insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.
• Oversee optimization initiatives through A/B testing to enhance customer acquisition and retention strategies.
• Focus on data-driven initiatives that create value, particularly those that improve customer analysis and key performance metrics to support commercial growth.
• Develop a deep understanding of business fundamentals to effectively anticipate trends and proactively provide data-driven support.

What We Need (Skills & Experience):

• Experience as a Data Scientist in a consumer product business (CPG, Health & Wellness, Beauty, Consumer Electronics etc)
• Experience facing off to Marketing and Sales leaders working on Data Science projects to better understand that side of the business
• Deep understanding of D2C e-commerce metrics including CAC, LTV, AOV, Retention, Marketing ROI
• Experience developing incrementality testing and attribution modelling
• Understanding of Mixed Media Models (MMM)

What We Would to See:

• Demonstrated business insight in a subscription-based consumer business with a track record of using data to drive growth
• Expertise in data analysis tools, including SQL and Python, as well as data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience in statistical and advanced analytical methods, including predictive modeling.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where adaptability is crucial.
• Must have the right to work in the United States (unfortunately the client will not offer visa sponsorship)

Start Date: ASAP

Package: $220,000-$275,000 + share options
