What’s the position?

The Director of Performance Marketing, Creative Experimentation is the strategic brain and creative heart of our new player acquisition efforts. You are the architect of our creative vision, responsible for developing the core concepts and data-informed strategies that will make Hard Rock Bet resonate with sports bettors and casino players in a crowded market.

This role requires a potent mix of creative intuition, analytical rigor, and a deep understanding of player psychology. You will be responsible for answering the critical question: "What is the right message, for the right player, at the right time?" You will guide a pod of producers and designers, acting as their strategic leader to ensure every ad we ship is not only imaginative and on-brand but is also ruthlessly effective at driving conversions and business growth.

What you'll do:

  • Champion Data-Informed Creativity: Partner with the analytics and marketing teams to rigorously analyze creative performance data. Use these insights not to limit creativity, but to fuel smarter, more effective campaigns.
  • Develop & Own the Creative Strategy: Design and execute the overarching creative strategy for all paid acquisition channels, translating business goals (like CPA and ROAS targets) into compelling, actionable creative platforms.
  • Be the Voice of the Player: Become an expert on our target audience and how to engage and convert them effectively. Dive deep into market trends, player data, and consumer insights to build a strategic foundation for all creative work.
  • Lead Creative Ideation: Leveraging industry data and consumer insights, Lead dynamic brainstorming sessions and workshops that generate novel campaign concepts, promotional ideas, and messaging angles tailored for key moments in the sports calendar and iGaming world.
  • Guide and Mentor: Lead and mentor the producers and designers in the acquisition pod, fostering a culture of creative excellence, rapid iteration, and continuous improvement. You will set the bar for quality and effectiveness.
  • Ensure Strategic & Compliant Execution: Oversee the creative lifecycle from concept to execution, ensuring the final output is of the highest quality, aligned with your strategic vision, and compliant with all state-level regulations.
  • Communicate the Vision: Clearly and persuasively present creative strategies and concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, articulating the "why" behind every creative decision.
  • Paid Acquisition Subject Matter Expertise: The desire to learn and experience the latest tools to prototype work - from leveraging AI, video ideation, and exploring emerging mechanisms for content.

What we're looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in a creative strategy, art direction, or senior copywriting role, with a proven track record of developing successful campaigns for acquisition or performance marketing.
  • Deep understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to interpret data to make informed strategic and creative decisions.
  • First-hand knowledge of what it takes to produce advertising ideas quickly and at volume.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating Direct Response (DR) campaigns, including multi-channel acquisition campaigns and performance-focused strategies that have driven significant and measurable business impact (e.g., user growth, revenue, ROAS).
  • Experience in or a deep passion for the iGaming, online casino, or sports betting industry is a significant plus. An understanding of betting culture and player motivations is key.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor creative talent. You should have experience guiding producers, designers, or copywriters.
  • Deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape, particularly the role of creative in performance channels like paid social, programmatic, and creator marketing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategic concepts to diverse audiences.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment where creative is tested and iterated on constantly.
