Backend Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with exceptional expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and C#. This position is a long-term remote contract for our esteemed client based in Portland, Oregon (USA). Our client works in the healthcare insurance sector and is market leader. A significant bonus would be your experience in the insurance sector, particularly with insurance claims.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain sophisticated software systems.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of business and system functionalities.
• Apply system expertise to diagnose and resolve intricate problems.
• Conduct requirements analysis, design, peer reviews, and documentation.
• Provide accurate effort estimates and identify potential risks.
• Implement sound software engineering processes, including iterative
• development, unit testing, source code control, inspections, and reviews.
• Stay updated on technology trends and adhere to industry best practices.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient in .NET/C#.
• Strong relational database skills, including SQL, stored procedures, and
• database architecture (MSSQL 2008 or higher).
• Microsoft SQL expertise.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
• Self-directed, analytical, adept at problem-solving, with strong attention to
• detail.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality products within tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.

Experience/Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• 6+ years of experience in .Net, C#.
• 6+ years of experience with MS SQL Server 2008 or higher.
• Preferred experience with MVC, Angular, JavaScript, HTML.
• Exposure to Cloud Development is advantageous.
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
