Data Scientist – Cloud & AutoML Focus (C2H Option)

Location: 100% Remote (Bulgaria-based)

Contract Type: 6-Month Contract | Contract-to-Hire (C2H) Option

Working Hours: 13:00 – 22:00 BG Time (06:00 – 15:00 EST)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Data Scientist with strong expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, AutoML, and cloud environments. In this role, you’ll design custom models, leverage enterprise cloud platforms, and deliver scalable, production-ready data solutions that directly support strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply data analysis, statistics, and ML techniques to deliver business insights
• Leverage AutoML tools and build custom ML solutions for business needs
• Develop, optimize, and maintain analytics pipelines for large, complex datasets
• Build and deploy supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, and reinforcement learning models
• Perform hyperparameter tuning and implement model performance improvements
• Work closely with data engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into deliverables
• Utilize cloud platforms and SQL (BigQuery preferred) for scalable ML development and deployment

Must-Have Skills

Minimum 2 years as a Data Scientist (7–10 years preferred)

Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and/or R

Strong expertise in ML algorithms:

• Unsupervised: clustering, dimensionality reduction, recommendation systems, graph algorithms
• Supervised: classification, regression, decision trees, ensemble methods
• Deep Learning: CNN, RNN, GNN | Reinforcement Learning
• End-to-end experience in data science workflows (exploration → production)
• Strong SQL knowledge (BigQuery ML / Studio preferred)
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable)

Nice-to-Have

Experience with MLOps & CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows

Hands-on with Google Vertex AI or other AutoML platforms

Knowledge of data visualisation and reporting tools

Engagement Details

• Duration: 6 months (with strong potential to convert to permanent)
• Mode: 100% Remote – must be based in Bulgaria
• Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H)
