Purpose of the Position:
The Software Engineer III, working under the supervision of the Director of Engineering, provides technical leadership, technical excellence, and innovation for the software development team. The Software Engineer III designs and develops software applications; performscoding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. This role willwork closely with others to ensure alignment of team objectives and product delivery. Incumbent contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally performed in an independent and collaborative manner
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the software development team, product owners, business analysts, and contractors.
- Promote innovation in problem-solving and sharing of technical knowledge.
- Report progress and handle escalations at all times.
- Ensure production software is free of bugs and maintains a reliable state.
- Leverage AWS to deliver efficient, cloud-native solutions.
- Identify product design features to support scalability, usability and better performance.
- Accurately apply understanding of complex business and functional requirements and produce technical specifications and product requirements.
- Implement unit and integration testing, as needed.
- Regular, reliable attendance during normal business hours.
- In-person attendance and travel as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university with major in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or in lieu of education, four (4) or more years of Software Engineering work experience, ideally in a banking or fintech industry.
Plus:
- 4+ years of experience in software development using object-oriented languages.
- 1+ years of experience in software development using .NET.
- Experience developing and executing a software implementation plan.
- Hands on experience with Microsoft .NET framework 4.5+, Microsoft .NET Core, C#, MVC4, JavaScript, WebApi Core and Window Services.
- Strong knowledge and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server.
