Our client is a fast-growing innovator in the renewable energy sector, focused on delivering scalable clean energy solutions through cutting-edge technology. They are seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. While the company is based in Dallas, TX, this role is fully remote for candidates who meet the technical requirements and can work effectively in a distributed environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software applications to support renewable energy systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, hardware, and operations teams
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
  • Contribute to the architecture and evolution of new and existing software systems
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to teammates
  • Debug production issues across multiple systems and services

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, or C++)
  • Experience working with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices including CI/CD, testing, and version control
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience in energy tech, IoT systems, or power grid applications
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of renewable energy concepts or power systems
