Our MedTech client is seeking a talented C++ Software Engineer to join their growing software development team. This role involves designing and developing high-performance applications for life-saving diagnostic and therapeutic systems. The ideal candidate brings strong C++ expertise and thrives in regulated, collaborative engineering environments. The position is based out of Boston, MA but can be remote for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain C++ software for advanced medical devices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including systems, hardware, and QA engineers.
- Write and review code to meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, and validation.
- Ensure compliance with medical software development standards and regulatory requirements.
- Produce and maintain thorough documentation for all development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience with modern C++ (C++11 or later).
- Strong understanding of software development best practices and debugging techniques.
- Experience working in regulated industries (medical, aerospace, etc.) preferred.
- Solid grasp of object-oriented design, software architecture, and real-time constraints.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Qt, Boost, or other C++ libraries.
- Experience with embedded systems or real-time applications.
- Knowledge of medical device standards (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA regulations).
- Background in signal processing, sensor data, or image-based applications.
