GUIDE is a matchmaking social platform that modernizes old-style matchmaking with AI.

We help people form meaningful connections through curated matches, emotional compatibility, and AI-assisted chat mediation, moving beyond the shallow swiping culture.

We’re in early-stage development, with strong market validation and a working beta version.

Now, we’re looking for a hands-on Senior Software Developer to own the technology vision and scale GUIDE into a high-growth company.

The Role

This is an equity-based founding role, ideal for someone who wants to co-build a company from the ground up — not just join one.

You’ll own and evolve GUIDE’s technical architecture, drive innovation in AI matchmaking, and prepare the platform for launch and scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead GUIDE’s technical architecture — backend, frontend, AI services, infrastructure.
• Drive development of AI matchmaking logic, onboarding assistant, and real-time chat.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance as we move from MVP v.2 → launch → scale.
• Recruit, manage, and mentor engineering contributors (freelance + in-house).
• Collaborate closely with the CEO on product vision, roadmap, and prioritization.
• Stay ahead of the latest AI, NLP, and recommendation system innovations relevant to GUIDE.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Software Engineer in a startup or high-growth product environment.
• Full-stack development expertise:
• Backend: Node.js, Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask), or similar.
• Frontend: React Native (cross-platform mobile apps) or native iOS/Android.
• API design & integration (REST/GraphQL).
• AI/ML & NLP familiarity:
• Experience with OpenAI API, LangChain, Pinecone, or similar conversational AI tools.
• Understanding of recommendation engines & personalization algorithms.
• Database & Infrastructure: PostgreSQL/MySQL, Firebase, cloud hosting (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• DevOps & Deployment: CI/CD pipelines, Docker, serverless functions.
• Solid knowledge of security best practices, GDPR compliance, and data privacy.
• Ability to work autonomously, ship fast, and make pragmatic technical trade-offs.
