We're looking for a seasoned Technical Lead to own the architecture and delivery of our AI-powered data systems — specifically around retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector databases.

• This is a fully remote position, Philippine Night Shift (US Mountain Standard Time)

What you'll do:

You'll lead a team of engineers building production-grade RAG pipelines and vector search infrastructure. This isn't just a hands-on engineering role — you'll drive technical strategy, partner with product and leadership on roadmap decisions, and bring a product ownership mindset to everything you build. You know how to move a team fast without cutting corners.

What we're looking for:

• Deep hands-on experience with RAG architectures and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, pgvector, or similar)
• Strong systems design skills — you've architected scalable, production AI/ML systems end to end
• Prior experience in a Product Owner or product-adjacent engineering role — you understand tradeoffs, user needs, and prioritization
• Proven track record leading and mentoring engineering teams
• Fluency with LLM ecosystems (LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI, etc.)
• Strong opinions, loosely held — you can defend a technical decision and also know when to pivot

Nice to have:

• Experience with embedding models, semantic search, and hybrid retrieval strategies
• Familiarity with MLOps and deploying AI workloads at scale
