Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in retail digital commerce platforms to lead strategic product initiatives for a major retail client.
This role will own product strategy, roadmap execution, and cross-functional alignment for high-impact commerce capabilities including marketplace integrations, product feed management, Product Detail Pages (PDP), inventory availability, digital merchandising, and personalized discovery experiences.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in retail eCommerce ecosystems, including product feeds, marketplace connectivity, PDP optimization, and merchandising platforms such as Stylitics or similar recommendation engines. This individual will play a key role in improving product discoverability, customer engagement, and digital conversion performance.
You will collaborate closely with merchandising, business, engineering, data teams, and external partners to define the product vision, prioritize initiatives, and advance the organization’s long-term digital commerce roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for core retail digital commerce capabilities
- Align product initiatives with digital commerce strategy, merchandising priorities, and customer experience objectives
- Identify high-impact opportunities to improve product discovery, marketplace presence, and personalization
- Prioritize roadmap initiatives based on business value, customer impact, technical feasibility, and delivery effort
Marketplace & Product Feed Management
- Lead product feed initiatives supporting marketplace integrations, AI-driven systems, and external platform connectivity
- Define product data requirements, feed structures, enrichment processes, and integration frameworks
- Ensure accurate and scalable product data flow across internal catalogs, marketplace platforms, and digital storefronts
- Collaborate on solutions supporting inventory availability and real-time data synchronization
Product Detail Pages (PDP) & Digital Experience
- Drive PDP enhancements focused on conversion optimization and rich product presentation
- Partner with UX and merchandising teams to improve product attributes, visual merchandising, and discovery journeys
- Support content enrichment, media optimization, and storytelling experiences that improve engagement and trust
Digital Merchandising & Personalization
- Champion AI-driven merchandising capabilities including product recommendations, bundling, and styling tools
- Lead integration and optimization of third-party merchandising platforms (Stylitics or similar)
- Identify opportunities to improve personalized shopping experiences and merchandising effectiveness at scale
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with merchandising, engineering, data teams, and external partners to align strategy and delivery
- Facilitate discovery workshops, roadmap alignment sessions, and cross-functional planning
- Serve as the bridge between business priorities and technical execution
Product Execution & Delivery
- Translate product vision into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Drive delivery within Agile / Scrum product development environments
- Oversee feature launches and ensure successful adoption, performance, and quality outcomes
Analytics & Performance Monitoring
- Define and monitor KPIs related to product discoverability, conversion rates, engagement, and merchandising performance
- Use data insights to evaluate results, validate hypotheses, and inform product decisions
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve customer experience and business outcomes
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of Product Management experience within retail or digital commerce environments
- Strong expertise with retail eCommerce ecosystems and product catalog systems
- Experience with product feeds, marketplace integrations, and product data management
- Proven success improving PDP performance, merchandising effectiveness, and product discovery
- Experience integrating third-party merchandising or recommendation platforms (Stylitics or similar)
- Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum product development processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively across business, engineering, data, and merchandising teams
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to guide product decisions
Preferred Experience
- Experience with AI-driven merchandising or recommendation platforms
- Background in enterprise retail platforms or marketplace ecosystems
- Familiarity with inventory synchronization, catalog enrichment, and digital merchandising tools
