Director of Retention Marketing

Position Overview: Seeking a Director of Retention Marketing to strategically drive customer loyalty through comprehensive retention programs. The role requires expertise in customer segmentation, behavior analysis, and consumer insights to optimize subscription, referral, and loyalty initiatives. Key objectives include increasing retention rates, subscription enrollment, customer lifetime value, and reducing churn while delivering positive ROI.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive retention strategies focusing on customer loyalty, subscriptions, and referral programs
- Drive key performance indicators including enrollment rates, repeat purchase rates, churn rates, customer lifetime value (LTV), and ROI
- Manage customer lifecycle from onboarding through post-purchase engagement
- Lead implementation and optimization of customer loyalty programs
- Design and execute sophisticated digital / email marketing campaigns with advanced segmentation and personalization
- Develop and implement testing roadmaps for continuous optimization
- Analyze customer data to understand acquisition sources, order patterns, cohort behavior, and churn
- Partner with Analytics team to derive actionable insights from customer data
- Establish and monitor QA processes and performance metrics
- Manage relationships with technology partners and vendors
Qualifications
- Proven experience in customer retention and loyalty program management
- Strong background in email marketing strategy and execution
- Proficiency with loyalty program management, subscription platform, email marketing platforms, sms marketing tools, and data analytics and reporting tools
- Experience with subscription-based business models
- Demonstrated success in driving customer lifetime value and reducing churn
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities
- Excellence in team leadership and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience in direct-to-consumer (DTC) business model preferred
