About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Mirror Node team. You'll be working on one of the most critical components of our ecosystem—indexing massive datasets, designing efficient data structures, and building scalable APIs that power everything from wallets to explorers. 🛠️ What You’ll Do

• Own the end-to-end backend lifecycle: from design to development, deployment, and ops.
• Build robust and performant APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) to serve hundreds of millions of users.
• Optimize queries and scale data infrastructure to handle 100s of TBs of on-chain data.
• Enhance system performance, reduce latency, and improve reliability and cost-efficiency.
• Participate in GitOps-based CI/CD and manage release cycles.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of backend development experience in Java.
• 3+ years working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Solid experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern backend architecture.
• 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Prior experience at a top-tier crypto company, FAANG, or high-growth startup.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, system design, and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, get-things-done mindset.

• Background in blockchain or distributed ledger technology.
• Familiarity with sharded databases (Citus, Spanner, Vitess, Cassandra, etc.).
• Experience with GraphQL, gRPC, Protobuf, and GitOps workflows.
