Position Overview:

GRIN is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of exceptional, user-centric products for our influencer marketing platform. As a technical leader on a cross-functional team, you will own complex architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and drive initiatives that directly impact the scalability, reliability, and usability of our systems. This role requires deep expertise in full stack development and a strong ability to influence technical direction across teams and domains.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of innovative, high-quality features that delight GRIN’s customers
Architect robust, scalable, and maintainable systems with an eye on long-term sustainability and performance
Drive optimization efforts across the stack to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering peers to define and execute on technical solutions
Proactively identify technical risks and propose solutions to mitigate them before they impact delivery
Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, documentation, testing, and the adoption of best practices
Mentor and guide engineers at all levels, supporting their technical growth and career development
Lead cross-team initiatives and align multiple stakeholders on complex technical decisions

Required Qualifications:

At least 8 years of experience in a software engineering role, with a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable systems
Deep expertise in frontend architecture and development using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
Back-end development experience with PHP, GoLang, or similar languages, ideally using an MVC framework (Laravel preferred)
Proficiency with databases (mySQL, or mongoDB preferred)
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure or similar
Demonstrated ability to optimize application performance at both the system and code level
Experience profiling and resolving bottlenecks in web applications or distributed systems
Proven success scaling systems to handle growing datasets, user bases, or feature complexity
Strong product intuition and ability to balance technical decisions with user and business outcomes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams

Preferred Qualifications:

Deep understanding of API design principles, versioning strategies, and lifecycle management at scale
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Terraform, GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
Experience with observability and telemetry best practices (e.g., logging, metrics, tracing) to ensure system health and performance
Experience contributing to or leading technical roadmap planning, architecture reviews, or design documentation
