Senior Java Engineer with knowledge of Flink

Grid Dynamics is looking for a backend engineer with hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade software.

Responsibilities

• Developing and modifying backend Java code to implement new features and enhance existing functionality
• Building integrations between the Combiner control plane and internal ASE services and platforms, including Cassandra, Kafka, and ACOS
• Investigating and resolving production issues using Splunk and other monitoring and logging tools
• Providing ongoing production support for systems and responding to incidents in a timely manner
• Assisting customers in onboarding to the Combiner platform by understanding their use cases and guiding them through available tooling and capabilities

Requirements

• Strong Java development skills
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases (Cassandra in particular)
• Knowledge of Distributed systems design and architecture
• Experience with Apache Flink is a significant plus
• Strong communication skills
• The candidate must be comfortable debugging and troubleshooting complex distributed systems and proposing actionable solutions under pressure
• Availability for evening calls until 9-10 pm EEST
