Grid Dynamics is looking for a Data Analyst / Data Scientist to join an exciting Game Science team focused on player behavior analytics, fraud detection, matchmaking, and recommendation systems.

In this role, you will work with large-scale gaming data to identify fraud patterns, uncover actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making.

What you'll bring:

• Strong SQL skills (joins, window functions, CTEs, query optimization)
• Solid Python experience for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy)
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Plotly, Matplotlib, or similar)
• Strong understanding of exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistics, and hypothesis testing
• Experience working with large datasets and behavioral analytics

Nice to have:

• Experience with data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
• Knowledge of Airflow or Prefect
• Experience in fraud detection, anomaly detection, or user behavior analysis

What you'll do:

• Analyze player behavior and game event data
• Detect fraud, anomalies, and suspicious patterns
• Create dashboards and data visualizations for stakeholders
• Support fraud detection initiatives and risk-scoring frameworks
• Deliver insights that improve products and user experience
