Grey Parrot Systems (GPARROT) is hiring a Senior UI/UX Designer who designs at AI speed — using Claude and Figma together to deliver prototypes and developer-ready specs fast enough to keep AI-DLC engineering teams unblocked and shipping — across enterprise platforms, customer-facing digital applications, and SEO-optimized web experiences.
About Grey Parrot Systems
Grey Parrot Systems is a women-owned, BEP-certified IT services firm headquartered in Naperville, IL. We partner with mid-market enterprises to deliver AI-first, governance-driven digital transformation — and we're growing.
About the Role
Our dev teams use Claude Code to ship fast — and they need a designer who can keep up. That means prototypes in hours, Figma screens delivered before the sprint ends, and developer-ready specs that AI coding agents can act on immediately. You use Claude as a core design partner — generating prototype concepts, describing component structures, briefing Figma AI and v0, and delivering polished Figma designs faster than traditional design workflows allow.
You also bring strong digital experience design expertise — designing customer-facing web applications and digital products with SEO, technical SEO, and Google Tag Manager in mind from the very first wireframe. You understand that great UX and strong search visibility are not in conflict — they are the same goal. You design pages that convert, load fast, are structured for crawlability, and are instrumented correctly for analytics from day one.
Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years of UI/UX design experience — enterprise platforms and customer-facing digital applications
- Expert-level Figma — components, variants, auto layout, design tokens, Dev Mode handoff
- Hands-on Claude experience — generating rapid prototypes, annotated wireframe briefs, component specs, and Figma design direction using Claude as a creative partner
- Experience using Claude to brief and prompt Figma AI, v0, and Galileo AI — refining and governing outputs in Figma
- Ability to structure Figma specs so AI coding agents — Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot — can generate UI code directly from design context
- Experience designing customer-facing digital applications — web experiences, landing pages, conversion funnels, and self-service portals optimized for engagement and conversion
- Working knowledge of SEO and technical SEO principles as they apply to UX design — page structure, heading hierarchy, URL architecture, Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile-first design, and structured data
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager (GTM) — understanding how tags, triggers, and data layer events are structured so designs support clean analytics instrumentation from day one
- Familiarity with GA4 — designing pages and user flows with analytics tracking in mind — events, conversions, and user journey measurement
- Experience embedding in Agile / Scrum engineering teams — owning design as a concurrent delivery workstream
- Strong design-to-development handoff — Figma Dev Mode, Zeplin, or Storybook
What You'll Do
- Use Claude to generate rapid prototype concepts and translate them into Figma screens within hours of a requirements conversation
- Deliver sprint-ready Figma screens and developer-ready specs that keep AI coding agents unblocked
- Structure Figma designs for AI code generation accuracy — component states, spacing tokens, interaction specs, and MCP-aligned annotations
- Embed directly in AI-DLC engineering teams — attending standups, sprint planning, and owning design as a live delivery workstream
- Design customer-facing digital applications and web experiences — optimized for engagement, conversion, and search visibility
- Apply SEO and technical SEO principles during the design phase — heading hierarchy, page structure, internal linking patterns, Core Web Vitals, mobile-first layouts, and structured data considerations
- Design pages and user flows with Google Tag Manager and GA4 instrumentation in mind — annotating data layer events, GTM trigger points, and conversion tracking requirements directly in Figma specs
- Collaborate with SEO, analytics, and marketing teams to ensure every customer-facing design supports discoverability, measurability, and performance from day one
- Design AI-powered interfaces — chatbots, agentic dashboards, and intelligent data visualizations
- Use Claude to generate accessibility annotations, SEO design notes, design rationale, and developer handoff documentation
- Design customer-facing digital applications and web experiences — optimized for engagement, conversion, and search visibility with SEO and technical SEO principles applied from the first wireframe
- Annotate Figma designs with Google Tag Manager (GTM) trigger points, GA4 event tracking requirements, and data layer specifications — so engineering teams instrument analytics correctly from day one
