Senior Manager, Email Marketing-HSO Digital and Social Media-Mount Sinai Hospital-Remote-Full Time-Days

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Email Marketing, is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for managing Mount Sinai Health System’s enterprise-wide email and SMS marketing initiatives. This role is critical in engaging patients, enhancing healthcare access, and driving digital transformation across a complex network of hospitals, clinics, and academic institutions.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Marketing, the Senior Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of marketing campaigns on Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including planning, execution, analysis, and optimization. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in email marketing technology, audience segmentation, personalization, and data-driven decision-making. They will serve as a cross-functional collaborator and technical subject matter expert, guiding business units through platform adoption and campaign innovation.

This position requires a balance of strategic thinking, technical execution, and team leadership. It also offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on patient outcomes and organizational growth through the effective use of digital communications.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Manager, you will own the strategy, execution, and performance of system-wide email and SMS marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end email and SMS campaigns: From strategic planning to QA, deployment, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Drive results with data: Analyze performance, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to improve ROI.
  • Optimize with segmentation and personalization: Use dynamic content, AMPScript, and strategic segmentation to boost engagement.
  • Manage customer data: Maintain and enhance email databases and marketing automation journeys.
  • Test, learn, and iterate: Use A/B testing and performance metrics to constantly refine content and tactics.
  • Ensure compliance: Maintain best practices and compliance with CAN-SPAM and HIPAA.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with marketing, IT, sales, and clinical teams to align email initiatives with business goals.
  • Lead platform transitions: Guide new business units through migrations onto Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing or IT, with a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
  • Proven success leading multi-channel campaigns in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Experience collaborating across teams and presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Licensing And Certification Requirements (preferred But Not Required)

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant or Social Specialist

Computer Skills

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Contact Builder, Automation Studio)
  • AMPscript, SQL, HTML, and CSS for email development and dynamic personalization
  • Google Analytics, Tableau, Jira, or equivalent tools for tracking, reporting, and workflow management
  • Comfort with domain management, IP reputation, and email deliverability best practices

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $95,450.00 - $143,175.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
