Location: India (Remote)
Type: Full-time
Company: GoStride Ventures
Company Description
Welcome to GoStride Ventures. We are your partners in innovation and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to unlock opportunities, fuel ventures, and empower success. We focus on growth, innovation, and strategic partnerships to build scalable, tech-driven solutions. Join us as we shape the future together.
Role Description
We are looking for a motivated UI/UX Design Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, remote role responsible for the user-facing side of our business applications end to end, from user flows and wireframes through to polished, production-ready interfaces that you deploy and keep live.
You will work closely with product owners, functional consultants, and clients to translate business needs into intuitive, well-designed software, primarily for trading and SME sectors. You will design in Figma, build the front end yourself, use AI-assisted tooling such as Claude to accelerate your work, and ship to production. The ideal candidate is strong in design, comfortable in front-end engineering, and genuinely excited by data-rich, dashboard-heavy products. We care more about design sensibility and front-end instinct than about years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build data-heavy interfaces such as dashboards, charts, dense data tables, and multi-step forms
- Translate user requirements and business goals into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and finished production UI
- Build and maintain responsive, accessible, mobile-first interfaces using React, TypeScript / JavaScript (ES6+), Tailwind CSS, and semantic HTML
- Use AI-assisted development tooling, primarily Claude in VS Code, to accelerate build and review cycles while maintaining code quality
- Deploy and maintain websites and front-end applications on modern hosting platforms, and own the path from local build to live site
- Contribute to and maintain a shared design system, including design tokens, component library, and documentation
- Implement clear data visualisations using libraries such as Recharts, ECharts, or D3
- Integrate front-end interfaces with REST and GraphQL APIs provided by the backend team
- Conduct usability reviews and iterate on designs based on feedback and user behaviour
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver thoughtful solutions
- Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices
- Participate in technical discussions, sprint planning, design critiques, and code reviews
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated UI/UX experience, with a portfolio that shows strong design sensibility and attention to usability
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, including auto-layout, variants, component properties, and variables
- Solid understanding of UX principles, responsive design, accessibility standards, and design systems
- Working experience with React and TypeScript, or strong JavaScript with a clear ability to grow into React
- Solid experience with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS
- Hands-on experience using Claude in VS Code, or an equivalent AI coding assistant, as part of a real development workflow
- Practical experience deploying websites to production (for example Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare, or similar)
- Familiarity with component libraries such as shadcn/ui, Radix UI, or Material UI
- Experience building dashboards, charts, and dense data tables (TanStack Table, AG Grid, or similar)
- Working knowledge of REST APIs and how front-end interfaces consume them
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, remote environment
Core Competencies
- UI design and UX design
- User flows, wireframing, and prototyping
- Design systems, design tokens, and component libraries
- Typography, colour, spacing, grid, and visual hierarchy
- Data visualisation and dashboard design
- Dense data tables, forms, and form validation
- Tailwind CSS and responsive, mobile-first design
- Accessibility (WCAG AA, ARIA, keyboard navigation)
Strong Signals
- A portfolio that links to live, deployed work you designed and built yourself
- ERP, B2B SaaS, or admin dashboard product experience
- Thoughtful use of AI tooling such as Claude in VS Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to raise quality and speed, not just to generate output
- Performance: Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, virtualisation
- Testing with Playwright, Cypress, Storybook, or Chromatic
- Git and code review
