We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will be responsible for leading our efforts in combining sound development practices, leveraging proven testing techniques and technologies, testing and ensuring the accuracy of key data platforms. You'll collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, and QA teams to provide solutions to fill gaps in our mission to deliver high quality products with continuously improving efficiency.
Location: LatAm (remote)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex analysis on the company’s front and backend systems.
- Monitor product quality by designing and deploying automated testing at scale.
- Develop and execute automated test cases for software applications to ensure the reliability of service pipelines.
- Perform integration testing between multiple independent systems and interfaces (flat files, APIs, Database) etc.
- Partner with engineering teams to review system requirements and technical design documents and ensure new features are developed using automation in mind.
- Evaluate existing data test automation frameworks and scripts, and drive any necessary changes.
- Recommend, augment and implement usage of proven automation tools, technologies and techniques to solve data testing specific problems.
- Elevate the quality of our releases by helping maintain automated tests integrated into our CI/CD pipelines.
- Distribute ownership of quality across the team and provide tools and support for smooth adoption.
- Enable short and direct feedback loops on the quality of every code submission.
- Staying up to date with process, tools, technologies, techniques and solutions.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience in a similar field.
- A minimum of 4+ years of SDET experience (or development experience) as a fullstack engineer. (Python/Go, React, etc.)
- Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Working experience with Windows and Linux systems.
- Working knowledge with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Computing Services.
- Writing code to create automated test frameworks, and establishing, monitoring, and maintaining them.
- Experience with performance testing (JMeter, Locust, Gatling, K6).
- Experience in identifying potential quality issues in data collection, storage, processing.
- Experience with Relational Databases (i.e. SQL Server, MySQL, Prostgres, Oracle, Maria).
- Experience with the use of streaming platforms (ie. Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub).
- Experience using version control systems such as Git and a solid understanding of Git workflows.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery platforms (Azure DevOps, jenkins, circleci, gitlab, codefresh, rundeck).
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis and SLA/Incident management.
- Working experience with Data Pipeline parsing/debugging.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies including functional, performance, regression, black-box, and white-box testing.
- Avid Learner: Passion for continuous learning and able to effectively communicate technology-oriented concepts.
Nice to have:
- Healthcare domain knowledge, particularly in the healthcare edi, ncpdp and transaction processing within the pharmacy and pbm.
- Experience with HIPAA, PCI, or other high security coding environments Open source contributions.
