Goodwork is recruiting for a US-based education technology company.
What makes this opportunity interesting?
We're an educational technology company providing personalized online math instruction that helps students overcome learning gaps and accelerate their progress. Our mission: help one million kids graduate high school by providing the foundational math skills they need to succeed.
Our research-based platform identifies skill gaps and automatically creates individualized study paths. Unlike competitors requiring teacher-made plans, our system adapts instruction based on student progress. The platform is device-agnostic, working on any web-enabled device without having to install any special apps. We use a proven methodology combining automated assessment, targeted instruction, and continuous progress monitoring.
We serve K-12 schools and districts across the United States through various implementations – from individual classrooms to district-wide rollouts. Our platform supports diverse learning needs including core curriculum, intervention programs (Tier II/III), special education, gifted/talented programs, and ELL instruction. We're particularly proud of our re-entry program, which helps incarcerated individuals build essential math skills for their future careers. While focused primarily on U.S. education, we also support international students through our web-based platform.
Students using our platform typically achieve two or more grade levels of growth in one school year in as little as one semester. Our methodology aligns with state standards and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics guidelines, with results validated through peer-reviewed journals and whitepapers, and demonstrated improvement in standardized test scores.
OUR COMPANY VALUES guide our team and shape our culture:
We're a fully remote organization with 7 full-time staff across “Software Development” and “Customer Experience, Marketing & Sales” teams. Headquartered in Louisiana, our team spans Illinois, Florida, Indiana, Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee in the U.S., with additional Software Development team members in India.
Our culture is fast-paced yet collaborative, following a scrum framework with daily standups and bi-weekly sprints. We use Slack for continuous communication and emphasize efficiency through regular retrospectives.
Our rhythm follows the school calendar – busiest during back-to-school season (September), with quieter periods for planning and projects. Team members wear multiple hats and are encouraged to contribute ideas, reflect, and support each other's growth.
About the Role
We’re looking for a remote Paid Ads & Digital Marketing Specialist to lead our paid advertising and content marketing efforts, driving lead generation and brand awareness. This role is pivotal in growing signups through a $1,000/month advertising budget and delivering educator-focused content that engages key decision-makers.
In this role, you’ll manage and optimize paid campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads to achieve measurable ROI. You’ll also create engaging organic content, such as graphics, captions, and educational resources, while maintaining consistent branding. Working closely with our team, you’ll craft educational, newsworthy materials tailored to teachers, administrators, and district leaders, ensuring alignment with the purchasing dynamics in the education sector.
Our marketing is a collaborative effort where team members balance various responsibilities. Your expertise will provide focus, delivering creative, data-driven campaigns that directly support our mission to help students succeed in mathematics. Education marketing here prioritizes meaningful content for educators and stakeholders, ensuring every campaign aligns with our purpose and values.

You have a proven track record managing $1,000/month campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads, with expertise in paid advertising strategies that drive measurable ROI and lead generation. You’re skilled in creating platform-specific content using Canva, analyzing performance data with spreadsheets, and leveraging AI tools like ChatGPT to streamline workflows. You’re independent, data-driven, and proactive—someone who can take a project, run with it, and report back confidently. You’re also enthusiastic about your work, collaborative, and committed to helping our team focus on their strengths while you take the lead in elevating our brand awareness and marketing impact.
Your performance will be measured by lead generation, ROI on ad spend, sprint velocity (our marketing operates under a 2-week sprint cycle), engagement metrics on content, conversion rates, and ultimately, the ability to drive more leads and converted sales.
You'll collaborate with the “Customer Experience, Marketing & Sales” team. This position reports directly to the Account Executive.
