Senior Product Design Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Product Designer who is obsessed with clarity, simplicity, and consistency. You will lead the creation of intuitive, engaging, and native mobile experiences that feel at home on both iOS and Android, while systematically reusing components and maintaining visual and functional consistency across the product.

This role goes beyond individual screens—it's about designing scalable design systems and reusable components that make our products efficient to build, easy to maintain, and delightful to use.

This is not a role for someone who just "makes things look good." It's for someone who:

• Thinks in terms of systems, not isolated designs.
• Knows how to design reusable components and patterns that can be leveraged across the product.
• Deeply understands how users think, what they expect on mobile, and how to create experiences that feel natural and trustworthy on both iOS and Android.
• Respects and leverages platform-specific patterns and guidelines while maintaining a consistent brand experience.

Applicants must have at least one mobile app live in the App Store (iOS or Android) that demonstrates their ability to design real-world, user-centered mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end product design process, from concept to polished implementation, with a strong focus on design system thinking.
• Design and maintain a scalable component library and design system, ensuring consistency in interactions, visuals, and behaviors across mobile platforms.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and translate insights into elegant design solutions that simplify complex processes.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs, optimized for both iOS and Android, following Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design principles.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure components are implemented consistently and accurately.
• Advocate for best practices in design consistency, usability, and accessibility, helping guide the evolution of our product-wide design language.
• Continuously refine and improve designs based on user feedback, metrics, and testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with strong expertise in mobile app design.
• Proven ability to design for both iOS and Android with a deep understanding of native platform conventions and cross-platform consistency.
• Experience designing and working with scalable design systems, component libraries, and pattern libraries.
• Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, with deep knowledge of component creation, variants, and auto-layout.
• Strong portfolio showcasing mobile app designs, design system contributions, and reusable components, including at least one live mobile app (App Store or Google Play).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work cross-functionally and advocate for design standards and best practices.
