Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Software Engineer for Scheduler Software at Globalstar. The Senior Scheduling Software Engineer designs, develops, maintains, and troubleshoots satellite planning and scheduling software as part of the Globalstar ground system. This position works with other team members to ensure requirements amongst subsystems are met, interface controls are adhered to and departmental deadlines and objectives are achieved.

Skills and Competencies:

• Solid working knowledge of Python and its data structures. Familiarity with Numpy is a plus.
• Some experience developing back-end server applications
• Knowledge of distributed microservice development
• Knowledge of API development tools and specifications (e.g. Swagger)
• Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks such as GIT, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
• Familiarity with AWS and containerization technologies.
• Good working knowledge of RDBs (PostGres, Oracle and associated tools)
