React/Node.js Developer - Remote - Full-time Opportunity - Local to DMV candidates preferred. Candidates should be willing to go through the federal background check.
Position Summary:
Global Alliant is seeking an experienced React/Node.js Developer to support key modernization and digital transformation initiatives at a Federal Healthcare client. The ideal candidate is a skilled full-stack developer with strong expertise in React.js, Node.js, and cloud-based application development, with a working understanding of federal health IT standards and security compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop responsive front-end applications using React.js, integrated with RESTful services.
- Develop scalable and secure backend APIs using Node.js and Express.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers, architects, and CMS stakeholders to build intuitive and accessible user interfaces.
- Implement modern development practices, including DevSecOps, automated testing, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure applications meet 508 compliance, FISMA security standards, and align with CMS QPP/CMS E&E architecture frameworks (if applicable).
- Integrate applications with CMS-specific APIs, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and legacy systems as needed.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) and contribute to backlog grooming and solutioning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in front-end and back-end development with React.js and Node.js.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3/SASS.
- Proficiency with RESTful API design, MongoDB/PostgreSQL, and JSON-based services.
- Experience working on federal or healthcare-related IT projects (CMS experience preferred).
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure, especially serverless architecture and cloud security practices.
- Working knowledge of Agile development, JIRA, Git, and DevOps tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
- Understanding of Section 508 compliance, OAuth2, and JWT authentication flows.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience working directly with Federal Healthcare agencies.
- Familiarity with FHIR, CQL/Clinical Quality Language.
- Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Mocha/Chai).
Education & Clearance:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
