Givebacks is seeking a Marketing Manager to drive growth in the K-12 School District channel by executing a strategic marketing plan. This role requires a detail-oriented, execution-focused professional with strong project management and communication skills. The ideal candidate has experience delivering thought leadership programs, understands growth and account-based marketing, and thrives in cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Do:
Content Creation:
- Support the marketing strategy by creating compelling content that showcases our value and strengthens our brand positioning with district stakeholders. This includes, but is not limited to, website updates, blog posts, thought leadership articles, customer testimonials, and webinars.
Event Marketing:
- Lead all aspects of tradeshow presence and event management, including event planning, logistics, budget management, annual event calendar, and post-event ROI tracking and analysis.
- Recruit speakers for and secure high-value speaking engagements at key industry events.
- Identify opportunities to innovate trade show strategy to better position Givebacks, increase leads, and maximize ROI.
- Leverage trade show touchpoints to gather customer intelligence, refine messaging, and uncover product expansion opportunities.
Email Marketing:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of email marketing campaigns, including building, testing, scheduling, and deploying emails among various audiences (e.g. SSO leaders, School Bookkeepers).
- Maintain a comprehensive email marketing calendar to ensure timely and relevant communications.
- Analyze email campaign performance, generate reporting, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Support the Brand Partnerships team in delivering successful paid email campaigns.
- Support company-wide campaign initiatives in coordination with the B2C marketing team.
Sales Enablement & Support:
- Collaborate with sales team to create and maintain sales materials including collateral and product brochures.
- Business Development Support: Execute business development initiatives in newly targeted territories and states.
- Account Executive Collaboration: Engage weekly with AEs to adjust messaging and strategy based on real-time market insights, competitor activity, and state-specific needs.
- Implementation Support: Develop and implement marketing assets that streamline the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless customer experience that fosters trust and confidence.
- CSM Support: Develop marketing assets that assist CSM in driving adoption and engagement with our product with key school stakeholders, including bookkeepers, teachers, principals, coaches, and athletic directors.
Market Awareness:
- Develop a strong working knowledge of customers, our products, and core messaging to effectively generate compelling and resonant content.
- Make data-driven recommendations to inform growth marketing strategy.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, we believe this candidate must embody the following characteristics:
- 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing for software businesses in start-up environments.
- Depth of knowledge in event marketing, email program management
- Exceptional writing skills with proven ability in copywriting, message development, and crafting a story.
- Experience partnering with sales teams.
- Excellent communication, partnership, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing.
- Proficiency in ROI tracking and experience with tools like Hubspot.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to Travel at least 30% of the time to tradeshows.

- Experience in marketing to school districts and engaging key stakeholders, including district finance officers, CFOs, business officers, and superintendents.
