  • Create advanced forecasting models for both capacity requirements and infrastructure spend
  • Design and implement automation for capacity management and cost optimization processes
  • Drive the development of capacity planning approaches and dashboards for better visibility

Strategy & Process Improvement

  • Develop and articulate long-term strategy and short-term plans in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Build consensus amongst cross-functional teams through strong quantitative analysis and actionable recommendations
  • Design and launch new processes and improvements to help teams scale
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance our capacity management capabilities
  • Provide technical leadership in capacity-related architectural decisions
  • Foster a culture of efficiency and optimization across the engineering organization

Program Management

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize cloud spending and capacity utilization
  • Create and track KPIs for measuring program success and cost efficiency
  • Drive quarterly planning and budgeting processes for cloud infrastructure
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across Engineering, Finance, Product and other business teams as needed
  • Set project/program success criteria and create measurable milestones

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in technical program/project management or equivalent
  • Ability to independently problem solve and create strategic relationships across the organization and influence
  • Experience collaborating closely with stakeholders across engineering, product, marketing, sales and legal
  • Experience influencing others without having direct management authority and motivating them to successfully complete tasks within required timelines.
  • Attention to detail and strong demonstrated written communication skills
  • Strong experience in capacity planning, or cloud operations, preferably in a large-scale SaaS environment
  • Excellent quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in data analysis and modeling methodologies for capacity forecasting
  • Proven track record with cloud cost management tools, and capacity planning systems
  • Experience with SaaS business models and economics

  • Experience with cloud cost management tools (Cloudability, CloudHealth, etc.).
  • Good programming and automation skills (Python, Bash, CI/CD) with experience in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Chef)
  • Experience with Data Visualization Tools (E.g. Looker Studio, Snowflake, Grafana, Kibana)
