Senior Software Engineer

Position: Sr. Software Engineer

Location: Remote

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Backend/Fullstack Engineer with strong expertise in Payments and Commerce to support an AI-driven/Agentic Checkout initiative.

Key Requirements:

- 5+ years of backend development experience (Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, or Python)

- Strong expertise in payments and checkout flows (authorization/capture, refunds, PCI concepts)

- Proficiency in building REST APIs and microservices

- Hands-on experience with Apigee (API gateway, security, policies)

- Exposure to AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and backend integrations

- Cloud experience on GCP and/or Azure

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies

- US Pacific Time overlap required

Responsibilities:

- Build and support backend services for checkout and payments

- Enable AI-driven checkout flows with proper validations and guardrails

- Ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance
