Senior Software Engineer - DevOps

Remote (or Hybrid in Boston/San Francisco) | Full-time | Startup Environment

At Geminus we use state of the art machine learning and artificial-intelligence algorithms to integrate data, physics, and computation for autonomous control of complex industrial systems.

We're a fast-growing startup building a cutting-edge SaaS product for enterprise customers. As we scale, we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer - DevOps to take ownership of our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security practices.

What You’ll Do

• Design, maintain, and scale our Azure-based infrastructure (with some AWS and on-prem components).
• Manage and optimize our Terraform-driven infrastructure as code.
• Enhance and automate our GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Strengthen security practices, aligning with SOC2 compliance and best practices.
• Improve and maintain our Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker environments (bonus for OpenShift experience).
• Build tools and automation scripts in Python and Bash to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with a small, highly skilled team of software engineers in a fast-paced startup environment.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure experience.
• Strong experience with Azure, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD best practices (experience with GitHub Actions is a plus).
• Solid security fundamentals; familiarity with SOC2 compliance is a plus.
• Ability to operate independently and thrive in a startup environment where adaptability is key.
