Gemini Building & Contracting is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and delivering construction projects while ensuring compliance with technical, quality, safety, and budget requirements.
Job repsobsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Defining Scope: Translating client needs and blueprints into clear, actionable project scopes.
- Creating Schedules: Utilizing tools like Gantt charts or Critical Path Method (CPM) software to map out timelines, milestones, and deadlines.
- Resource Allocation: Determining the manpower, equipment, and materials needed for each phase.
- Review and Submission of MSA and Shop drawing
2. Technical Design & Integration
- Reviewing Plans: Examining engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with codes.
- RFI Management: Handling Requests for Information (RFIs)—clarifying design ambiguities between the field teams and the design engineers.
- Submittal Review: Ensuring that materials and equipment ordered by contractors match the exact engineering specifications required.
3. Cost Control & Budgeting
- Estimating: Assisting in the preparation of initial project bids and cost estimates.
- Tracking Expenditures: Monitoring daily or weekly spend against the allocated budget to prevent overruns.
- Change Orders: Reviewing, negotiating, and documenting changes to the project scope that alter the original budget or timeline.
4. Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaison: Serving as the main point of contact between Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and senior leadership.
- Progress Reporting: Preparing regular status reports, dashboards, and presentations outlining project health.
- Meeting Facilitation: Leading coordination meetings to resolve conflicts, align teams, and clear bottlenecks.
5. Quality Assurance & Safety (QA/QC)
- Site Inspections: Regularly visiting the field or factory floor to verify that work is being executed according to the approved engineering designs.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring all operations adhere to OSHA, environmental regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Final Punch Lists: Overseeing the testing, commissioning, and final walkthroughs before handing the project over to the client.
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction project coordination or project engineering in UAE construction industry
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project reporting tools.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
