About the role

At Geekbears, we’re looking for a Design Project Manager to lead our design projects from start to finish. You’ll coordinate with clients, keep timelines on track, manage the team’s workflow, and work closely with our designers to make sure we deliver top-quality work on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Align the design team around project goals and KPIs, providing clarity and direction every step of the way.
Delegate tasks and manage workload effectively to keep the team focused and productive.
Oversee multiple client design projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and to our quality standards.
Set clear deadlines, prioritize tasks, and assign work to match team strengths and project requirements.
Develop, document, and refine project management processes to optimize our design workflows.
Monitor design deliverables to ensure they meet company standards, stay within scope and budget, and hit deadlines.
Coach, guide, and support designers — providing regular feedback, mentorship, and clear expectations to help the team grow.
Foster a collaborative, communicative environment that promotes accountability and high performance.

What we are looking for

5+ years of project management experience, ideally in an agency or design-focused environment
Familiar with UX/UI design workflows and tools like Figma and Adobe CC
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Proven track record working with U.S.-based clients
Comfortable using project management tools such as ClickUp, Notion, or similar
Strong leadership and delegation skills with the ability to align cross-functional teams
Solid understanding of Agile or other project management best practices
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field
Previous experience as a UX/UI designer is a plus
Interest in entrepreneurship is a bonus
