A growing mobile game studio is looking for a Game Data Analyst to drive insights into player behavior, game performance, and live operations. In this role, you’ll work closely with product and design teams to improve retention, engagement, and monetization through data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze in-game player behavior, game economy, and monetization flows.
  • Benchmark games against competitors to identify market trends.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to support live operations and design decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and prioritize data needs.
  • Stay up to date on the latest tools and practices in game analytics.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in gaming.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile game mechanics and genres (e.g. RPG, hyper-casual, strategy).
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of player progression, monetization systems, and game balancing.
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex data.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with live ops features (battle passes, events, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SQL or advanced analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of Unity game engine data flows.
