Description
We’re seeking a versatile and hands-on Data Scientist to join our analytics team and help drive performance across the entire game lifecycle—from user acquisition to in-game engagement and monetization. You'll work on a wide range of analytics and modeling challenges, including player behavior analysis, LTV prediction, retention modeling, matchmaking evaluation, and economy balancing.
This is a role with a strong analytical foundation and practical application—ideal for someone excited to impact both gameplay and growth strategy through data.
All The Responsibilities We'll Trust You With
- You’ll build and refine LTV and ROAS prediction models to support both marketing and product monetization strategies.
- You’ll analyze player behavior to uncover churn patterns, engagement drivers, and opportunities for personalization.
- You’ll collaborate with game designers and product teams to evaluate progression systems, level difficulty, and matchmaking balance.
- You’ll design and analyze A/B tests for new features, events, or offers to improve player retention and satisfaction.
- You’ll build and maintain data models and pipelines (e.g., using SQL, dbt) to support both game and growth analytics.
- You’ll create dashboards and automated reports that surface key insights across game health, economy, and acquisition.
- You’ll work with marketing teams on attribution (e.g., SKAN) and campaign analysis when needed.
- You’ll proactively propose and drive data science initiatives that improve player experience or business performance.
What You'll Bring To The Team
- At least 4 years of experience in data science or analytics (gaming, mobile apps, or tech).
- Strong analytical foundation, ideally with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python (or R), and proven experience with predictive modeling (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and experimental design (A/B testing, causal inference, etc.).
- Familiarity with key game metrics (e.g., DAU, retention, monetization KPIs) and marketing metrics (e.g., LTV, CAC, ROAS).
- Proven ability to work independently and drive projects autonomously in a fast-paced environment .
- Comfort working with BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or Metabase.
- Interest and experience working with LLMs or other generative AI tools, and a passion for exploring how AI can be used to accelerate analytics workflows, insights, or player-facing features.
- A proactive and dependable approach, with a track record of taking initiative and following through.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a service-oriented mindset and willingness to support teammates directly.
