What we're looking for
We seek a curious and empathetic iOS developer to join our mobile team and help us build the next generation of real-money mobile gaming experiences.
What you will be doing
You will work directly with the engineering leadership on our iOS mobile applications, validating ideas and collaborating with product teams. We are currently experiencing unprecedented growth with our Horseplay iOS app. As the second half of a small team, you will be our go-to person for mobile best practices and share your experience on how we can improve our applications. Your time will typically be split between collaborating with product teams and working with leadership to implement a more sustainable architecture.
Who we are
We are a forward-thinking and rapidly expanding engineering team dedicated to building innovative, scalable, and user-centered applications. Our team thrives on exploring new technologies and pushing the boundaries of software development.
Who you are
You are very comfortable writing Swift. While you don’t have to have intimate knowledge of the compiler, you should know the benefits of marking a class final and be able to explain them to a fellow engineer.
You have written unit tests. While we will not ask you for complete code coverage, and we understand most jobs don’t have you writing unit tests - you should appreciate their value and know how to write code that can be unit tested. You know SwiftUI and how to think in SwiftUI. While you don’t need to dive as deep as Eidhof, you should know when to use StateObject over EnvironmentObject. You know who Murashev (the Robot), Eidhof, and Sundell are, and can recommend several other experts in our field to follow.
You care about the user experience. You can empathize with our users and are comfortable sharing ideas to improve our user experience.
You thrive working in a remote environment. You can effectively communicate and collaborate while working remotely.
You are curious. You have played with experimental features or a cross-platform framework (Flutter, KMM, etc.).
How to apply
If you found yourself nodding as you read the ‘Who you are’ section and are excited about working with a company that has been reimagining gaming for over 25 years, then we would love to hear from you. Please send your resume, LinkedIn profile, and the name of your least favorite Apple framework to sgrimes@bspot.com.
