G2 Startup Advisors is recruiting on behalf of a high growth start up and seeking a Director of Marketing to lead strategic marketing efforts in the U.S. This role is ideal for a results-driven marketing leader with deep expertise in digital strategy, growth marketing, and team leadership. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the position will focus on expanding reach, driving acquisition, and improving conversion across key marketing channels.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the U.S. marketing strategy with a focus on growth, acquisition, and conversion optimization.
- Oversee website and landing page performance, ensuring they are optimized for user experience, traffic, and conversion.
- Manage the marketing budget across digital channels, including paid media, SEO, email, and content.
- Explore and establish new channels, such as partnerships and community engagement, to drive growth.
- Coordinate with external agencies to deliver strong ROI on campaign initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (product, customer success) to support onboarding, engagement, and retention.
- Build, lead, and mentor a small but growing marketing team.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, growth, or demand generation roles.
- 5+ years working in fast-moving organizations, particularly within startups or rapidly scaling environments.
- Proven expertise in CRO, SEO/SEM, paid social, and content strategy.
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, and CMS tools (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace).
- Strong written communication and creative direction skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead both strategy and execution with a data-informed approach.
