We’re seeking a Software Engineer to join our innovative team, where you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising software solutions using PHP and Go. You’ll work closely with Product, Architecture, and Principal Engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance applications, while continuously enhancing your skills and supporting junior team members.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions using PHP and Go.
• Participate in architectural discussions, contributing ideas and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Optimise and refactor existing PHP-based software for improved efficiency.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and methodologies.
• Maintain and update technical documentation.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• Strong experience with PHP and the Symfony framework.
• Understanding of database management, query optimisation, and PSR standards.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD principles.
• Experience in Agile environments with a passion for mentorship.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn Go development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable:

• Exposure to Go or a strong desire to learn it.
• Experience with microservices, API development, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerisation tools.
