Position Overview
The Sales & Marketing Manager will lead the company’s retail growth strategy—driving listings with major national and regional retailers, managing trade marketing initiatives, and elevating brand awareness through integrated marketing campaigns. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a commercially driven professional with experience building food brands in retail environments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Retail Expansion:
- Develop and execute the retail sales strategy to achieve ambitious growth targets.
- Identify, prospect, and secure listings with major national, regional, and independent retailers.
- Manage relationships with retail buyers, brokers, and distributors to maximize shelf presence and promotional opportunities.
- Oversee sales forecasting, pricing strategy, and promotional planning to drive revenue.
Marketing & Brand Development:
- Build and execute brand marketing plans aligned with retail expansion goals.
- Manage all trade marketing initiatives—POS materials, in-store activations, sampling programs, and merchandising.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing team to align consumer campaigns with retail launches.
- Analyze performance metrics (ROI, sell-through, brand awareness) and optimize marketing spend.
- Develop website & merchandise for the company
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with operations, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure successful retail execution.
- Lead, mentor, and build a small team of sales and marketing professionals as the business grows.
- Represent the brand at key industry trade shows and retail events.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in sales and marketing roles within the food production or CPG sector.
- Proven success launching and growing food brands in retail channels (grocery, specialty, or mass).
- Strong understanding of category management, retail dynamics, and shopper marketing.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
