Job Description

At Future Connections, we’re looking for a Software Engineer with strong Python skills and a solid background in backend development and data workflows to join our Network Intelligence team.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team of telecom and software engineers, working on backend systems that power key telecom use cases for leading wireless operators in Spain and across Europe. Your role will focus on building scalable backend services, developing ETL pipelines, and managing data infrastructure to support high-impact projects.

What you’ll do:

• Write clean, efficient Python code for backend services and data pipelines.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Design and implement ETL processes using Python (and optionally Apache NiFi).
• Manage SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Elasticsearch, MongoDB) databases.
• Deploy applications using Docker and container-based workflows.
• Maintain and monitor Linux servers to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers, frontend developers, and stakeholders to bring new features to life.
• Work in an Agile environment using modern development tools and practices.

Requirements:

• BSc in Software Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience programming in Python.
• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, and structured data.
• Familiarity with FastAPI or similar modern Python web frameworks.
• Comfortable working with Docker.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL is a plus).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with Linux server environments.
• (Bonus) Experience with Apache NiFi, AWS, or container orchestration tools.
• English level B2 or higher (spoken and written).
