Business Intelligence Engineer

Job Description

What You Will Be Doing:

• Design and implement scalable, well-documented data pipelines and semantic models using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to support enterprise-wide analytics.
• Translate complex business requirements into performant data models, calculated measures, and interactive dashboards using DAX and Power Query.
• Integrate and transform data from Dynamics 365 and other enterprise sources into analytics-ready formats for self-service BI and decision support.
• Continuously monitor and optimize data quality, reliability, and query performance across the reporting ecosystem.
• Partner with commercial and finance stakeholders to refine business metrics, align KPIs with strategic goals, and ensure reporting drives actionable insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues by identifying root causes, implementing fixes, and driving continuous improvement in data workflows.
• Maintain clear, version-controlled documentation of data models, definitions, and workflows to promote transparency and enable team collaboration.
• Ensure analytics solutions are scalable, adaptable to evolving business needs, and aligned with long-term data strategy.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI development, or data engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, and data transformation techniques.
• Experience working with Dynamics 365 data structures and integrations.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL design, KPI development, and reporting for commercial and finance topics (e.g., sales performance, revenue tracking).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to translate technical concepts for business users and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Proactive and detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to solve complex data challenges in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python for data processing, automation, or data validation tasks.
