Fundamatic is a cloud platform that helps asset managers—such as endowments and

foundations—manage all their investment documents and data in one place. We're a small

company with a remote team across the USA and Europe. We already count some of the

largest asset managers (>$100B AUM) and top USA endowments and foundations among our clients.

About the Role

We are looking for a Fullstack Senior Software Developer who is passionate about writing

modular, well-tested code and helping teams adopt robust engineering practices.

This is an individual contributor role where your code will help shift company culture toward a test-first development paradigm. You will also mentor colleagues, champion quality, and help establish

documentation as a core part of how we build software.

Our engineering culture values ownership and collaboration. For example, we operate with a

DevOps mindset where developers are empowered to propose and implement infrastructure

changes using OpenTofu.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain services using Python and TypeScript (Django & Svelte)
• Lead the adoption of test-driven development (TDD) practices across engineering teams
• Refactor legacy codebases to improve maintainability, performance, and testability
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, APIs, and development processes
• Participate in code reviews with a focus on code quality and improving development processes
• Mentor junior developers and advocate for engineering excellence

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript
• Deep expertise in testing methodologies
• Experience refactoring complex codebases and improving code quality
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and SOLID principles
• Excellent written communication skills and commitment to documentation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to influence and drive cultural change within engineering teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with Django
• Experience with Svelte and/or Angular (the latter is being removed)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with durable workflows engines like DBOS or Temporal
• Contributions to open-source projects
