Marketing Manager (E-Commerce & B2B Growth)
Position Summary
The Marketing Manager will play a critical role in driving the company’s growth through three key priorities: optimizing our e-commerce retail business, building a scalable B2B marketing engine, and supporting Business Development and Enterprise Sales efforts.
This role is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of marketing initiatives across digital channels, marketplace platforms, and industry events. The Marketing Manager will oversee the company’s online retail presence, develop high-impact trade show and marketing collateral, and partner closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and the ownership group’s Marketing team to deliver consistent messaging and strong commercial results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
E-Commerce & Online Retail Optimization
- Own the performance of the company’s e-commerce and marketplace channels (including Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace, etc.), with accountability for traffic, conversion, revenue, and profitability.
- Lead strategy for online retail growth through optimized product listings, promotions, pricing, merchandising, and customer engagement.
- Establish best practices for SEO, imagery, product descriptions, and digital merchandising to maximize visibility and sales performance.
- Monitor and analyze marketplace performance metrics (sales, margins, conversion rates, customer feedback) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify new tools, platforms, and marketplace opportunities to efficiently scale digital retail sales.
B2B Marketing Strategy & Trade Show Leadership
- Develop and execute B2B marketing strategies that support customer acquisition, brand positioning, and long-term revenue growth.
- Help plan and execute the company’s annual trade show and industry event strategy, including booth presence, messaging, collateral, and follow-up campaigns.
- Create marketing programs and content tailored to commercial and enterprise buyers, including product sheets, case studies, email campaigns, and presentations.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities in the B2B landscape.
- Ensure brand consistency across all customer-facing touchpoints, from events to digital channels.
Sales Enablement & Business Development Support
- Partner closely with the Business Development and Enterprise Sales teams to execute marketing activities that drive pipeline growth and close opportunities.
- Develop sales enablement tools and collateral, including pitch decks, brochures, one-pagers, and customer-specific marketing materials.
- Support lead generation efforts through targeted campaigns, outreach initiatives, and account-based marketing programs.
- Provide reporting and insights on marketing impact, campaign effectiveness, and pipeline contribution.
Marketing Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage integrated marketing campaigns across digital, email, social, events, and traditional channels.
- Oversee marketing budgets, timelines, and relationships with external agencies or vendors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging alignment and operational execution.
- Lead, mentor, and develop direct report(s), fostering accountability and high performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of marketing experience, with demonstrated success in digital marketing, campaign execution, and brand management.
- Proven experience managing or supporting e-commerce and/or marketplace sales platforms (eBay, Amazon, Shopify, etc.).
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing strategies, trade show execution, and sales enablement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, strategic thinker with the ability to execute in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms is a plus.
