Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a dynamic and experienced Marketing Director to lead and expand our Growth & Positioning Advisory practice. This role combines high-level strategy with hands-on execution across multiple client engagements, focusing on demand generation, digital presence, brand positioning, and marketing operations.
Responsibilities
Marketing Leadership
- Serve as Fractional CMO for 3–5 B2B clients simultaneously, driving measurable marketing outcomes across awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with client business goals and stage of growth.
- Provide ongoing strategic advisory to client executives, including budget planning, GTM strategy, and campaign performance review.
Campaign Development & Execution
- Lead multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital (web, email, paid, social), traditional, and partner channels.
- Manage content strategy and publishing, including email marketing, blog content, and social media calendars.
- Create and execute PPC campaigns, SEO strategies, and targeted outreach on platforms like LinkedIn Campaign Manager and Google Ads.
Creative & Content Development
- Design compelling marketing collateral, digital assets, and brand visuals using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
- Develop and manage website content and landing pages via CMS tools such as WordPress or HubSpot.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all touchpoints.
Performance Management
- Define KPIs, track marketing metrics, and optimize performance using tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, and CRM systems.
- Maintain content calendars and ensure timely delivery across all client initiatives.
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) reviews on marketing assets to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
Collaboration & Operations
- Manage internal and external collaborators (designers, media partners, copywriters, developers).
- Lead the creation of pitch decks, investor presentations, and promotional materials.
- Oversee marketing operations including budgeting, resource allocation, and reporting.
Sales & Internal Marketing
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities through content marketing, outbound campaigns, partnerships, and thought leadership.
Essential Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, content strategy, and social media management across B2B environments.
- Proven ability to lead and manage client engagements concurrently, averaging ~10 hours per week per client.
- Strong strategic advisory and client-facing communication skills, with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
- Proficient in AI-powered tools for content generation, campaign development, and accelerating speed to market.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and consistency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Deep working knowledge of key digital marketing platforms, including: Google Analytics & Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, HubSpot and other CRM systems, Mailchimp, Canva, and CMS platforms like WordPress.
- Expert understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong project management capabilities, including timeline and resource coordination.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
- Creative thinker with a passion for emerging marketing trends, digital innovation, and continuous learning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Compensation
This role includes a performance-based compensation model (low base, high variable comp) tied directly to the candidate’s ability execute projects for the firm.
