Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Software Engineer to join our remote engineering team on a contract basis. This role will support the development and maintenance of our web and mobile applications. You’ll work across the stack to deliver user-facing features and backend services that drive our platform forward.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive web applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Build cross-platform mobile apps using Expo and React Native.
• Implement and maintain backend APIs and services with Node.js, Express, and TypeScript.
• Write maintainable code following modern development practices.
• Collaborate with the team, participate and contribute to technical discussions.

Tech Stack

Frontend: Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript

Mobile App: Expo, React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript

Backend: Node.js, Express, TypeScript, JavaScript, Prisma, MySQL

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack software development, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs with Node.js and Express.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote team setting.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the healthcare or digital health industry.
• Experience building web applications with Next.js.
• Experience with React Native and Expo for mobile development.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and data privacy best practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
