This role is about supporting and enabling the UX team to deliver their best work. You’ll mentor and coach team members day-to-day, collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, and help maintain a connected, consistent experience across all our products.

With a new Customer Value Proposition driving change across the business, this is an exciting time to join our Digital Team. You’ll have the opportunity to influence at a high level while helping us deliver simple, effective and customer-first experiences that make a real impact.

The Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Work from home anywhere within the UK
  • 25 days holiday per calendar year with option to purchase up to 5 more days (subject to meeting eligibility requirements)
  • Dedicated Learning & Development team to support you and your career
  • Employee Assistance Program providing 24 hours support & advice in areas such as health and wellbeing for yourself, your family & friends (up to 5 people in total)
  • Increased Maternity, Paternity & Adoption leave benefits for eligible employees
  • Life Assurance scheme and pension plan with employer contributions of up to 7%
  • Up to two days paid volunteer leave per year (only applicable to permanent employees)
  • The opportunity to join our employee network groups including LGBTQ+, Menopause wellbeing, Neurodiversity and Women’s network groups.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme, employee retail discount scheme and free eye test vouchers

About You

  • Highly experienced delivering across the full UX lifecycle – from discovery through to delivery
  • Proven track record of directing and guiding other designers, sharing best practice and raising standards across multiple teams
  • Skilled at managing stakeholders: aligning expectations, managing feedback and enabling designers to focus on delivery
  • Customer-first mindset with the ability to keep design work connected to business and UX strategy
  • Expert in Figma, Miro and other prototyping tools
  • Strong understanding of design systems (atomic design and variables) with demonstrable experience working mobile-first across responsive design
  • Skilled at using research insights and data to inform design choices
  • Experienced in facilitating workshops and Design Thinking sessions with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills; able to clearly articulate design choices to senior stakeholders
  • Experienced in agile environments, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent understanding of accessibility guidelines and how to design inclusive experiences
  • Professional, personable and approachable
  • Growth mindset, willing to learn and adapt

Your Role

As a Senior UX Designer your role will involve:

  • Guiding and supporting UX Designers across the full lifecycle, ensuring work is connected to business and UX strategy
  • Mentoring UX Designers, sharing best practice and enabling them to deliver their best work whilst delivering a consistent digital experience
  • Flexible ways of working and be willing to be hands on with design delivery when required
  • Stakeholder management across scrum teams, enabling designers to focus on delivery
  • Aligning design work across squads to maintain consistency and avoiding disconnected experiences
  • Collaborating with the UX Manager, BA's and Technical Architects to create Service Blueprints when required
  • Leading the Design System ways of working, ensuring it is up-to-date and consistently adopted
  • Working with the UX Manager to ensure the UX strategy is embedded within the team’s ways of working
  • Working closely with the UX Researcher and Data Analyst to ensure insights drive design choices
  • Supporting UX Designers in developing confidence with facilitating workshops to collaboratively solve problems
  • Collaborating with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand challenges, set expectations and manage timelines
  • Building strong business relationships, providing regular updates and championing UX across the organisation
