About the Role

We’re hiring a Principal Data Scientist to join our Enterprise Analytics – Data Science team. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who enjoys tackling ambiguous, high-impact problems and partnering closely with clinical, operational, and finance leaders. In this role, you’ll translate complex healthcare challenges into clear analytic strategies, design and deploy advanced statistical, machine learning, and AI solutions, and help shape Froedtert’s broader AI maturity journey—from standards and governance to scalable, enterprise-ready solutions. Responsibilities

Advanced Analytics & Data Science

• Design and deliver descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
• Build and evaluate forecasting, time series, experimentation, and anomaly detection solutions.
• Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning and AI models (LLM or agentic experience is a plus).
• Translate ambiguous business and clinical questions into actionable analytic insights.

AI Enablement & Enterprise Impact

• Contribute to Froedtert’s enterprise AI maturity and strategy.
• Help standardize approaches for model governance, validation, and lifecycle management.
• Support scalable analytics and AI platform capabilities across the organization.

Data Modeling & Technical Development

• Design robust conceptual, logical, and physical data models across multiple source systems.
• Apply best practices in schema design, indexing, and data quality.
• Use advanced SQL and Python, R, SAS, or VBA to build reusable, well-documented analytics solutions.

Communication & Enablement

• Build dashboards and analytical tools for diverse clinical and operational audiences.
• Clearly communicate complex analytics concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead analytic readouts, demos, and enablement sessions to drive adoption and impact.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

5+ years delivering advanced analytics solutions, including:

• Data analysis and modeling
• Advanced SQL development
• Dashboards and data visualization
• Technical and functional specifications
• Experience working with Business Intelligence tools.
